Interiors Australia + DENFAIR to safely go ahead
January 24, 2022
Interiors Australia + DENFAIR, with the support of hundreds of exhibitors, designers, architects, industry bodies and media, expects to safely go ahead at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre from February 10-12, 2022.
“We continue to monitor the situation and have remained engaged with our stakeholders, and the industry, to ensure we can safely and confidently bring the design community back together once again in Melbourne” said Ali Lawes, Design Portfolio Director at organiser National Media.
The Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, owned by the Victorian State Government remains open and has continued to operate safe and successful events under its comprehensive VenueSafe Plan daily. Interiors Australia + DENFAIR will be spread across 9,000 square metres of exhibition space, with wider aisles, density limits, mandatory masks, sanitisation stations, COVID Marshalls, and mandatory vaccination status proof all in place to ensure a COVID safe event.
Support from the A&D community continues to be strong, with rocketing daily registrations demonstrating a confidence and desire to reconnect, be inspired and discover what’s new for attendees current and future projects. This show of intent to attend has been a key part of the decision to safely proceed with the February event.
Interest in the Speaker Series has also been overwhelming, with the country’s leading designers, architects, creatives and editors coming together to discuss, to challenge and to share their expertise in person.
National Media CEO Brad Langton commented, “As we move from pandemic to endemic, it’s important that businesses and industries continue to move forward. Thousands of makers, manufacturers and importers depend on trade fairs to access customers and it’s been a long few years without that business opportunity.”
“We take confidence from the leadership of the Victorian Government who continue to encourage business and trade to operate safely, including very-large events like the cricket and Australian Open, right through to theatres, restaurants and retail” added Langton.
National Media thanks the entire architecture and design community for the continued support as we continue to monitor the situation closely.
