DENFAIR and Interiors Australia merge and announce rebrand
-
First major design industry exhibition for Sydney in eight years
-
$322 billion opportunity for industry stakeholders
National Media, producers of the Interiors Australia and DENFAIR exhibitions, today announced the rebranding of both shows under a new and consolidated name.
Now known as Design Show Australia, the rebrand coincides with the announcement of the Sydney show dates, the release of a new website and the addition of new categories to the growing exhibition floor.
“We’re thrilled to share this brand evolution with the industry,” said Brad Langton, CEO of National Media. “Bringing together the former shows proved extremely successful last month in Melbourne, and as we broaden the spectrum of the show to cover all kinds of interior projects, a singular, unified brand made sense.”
Under the Design Show Australia brand, the exhibition will expand its offering by showcasing a broader range of brands, products and solutions on the exhibit floor, creating a product playground for design and project teams working on residential, workspace, hospitality, retail, education and other commercial interiors.
Langton added, “The growth of categories on the exhibition floor has been guided by data and feedback from the attendees. The 11,000+ interior designers, architects, developers, builders and other specifiers who registered for the most recent edition told us what products and solutions they’re looking for, and it’s our responsibility to curate the most comprehensive exhibition of these products to meet their project needs.”
“Our Sydney show in October will be the first large-scale design industry exhibition to be hosted in the city for more than eight years. There have been a few smaller events taking place but nothing at this scale since 2014,” said Langton.
“It’s hard to believe Australia’s largest market for building and construction work has been void of such an event for so long and with the volume of projects forecasted over the coming years, bringing Design Show Australia to Sydney this year is timely.”
The Australian Construction Industry Forum’s latest Construction Market Report is forecasting $322 billion in non-residential and residential projects between now and 2024.
“This level of building activity will fuel a tremendous pipeline of work for all stakeholders in the interiors and design industry and as the only major exhibition for the industry, we will be investing heavily in capturing this opportunity on the expo floor.”
Design Show Australia will be held at ICC Sydney from 20-22 October, 2022. It will bring premium brands, manufacturers and suppliers together with designers, specifiers, buyers and key influencers in a project team that design, build and fit out commercial and residential projects.
