Although a sense of humour promotes wellbeing and human connection, it is very seldom that furniture is specifically designed to be humorous without a compromise to functionality.

Coralescence composes a coral-inspired collection reminiscing captivating adventures exploring Australia’s stunning coral reefs. Mimicking the whorl-like patterns of differential growth and layered deposition formation found in foliose corals, Coralescence cultivates a series of coral-like forms; primed to inspire recollection of oceanic experiences and bring the intrinsic beauty of our coral reefs accessibly and sustainably to dry land.

A sleek and functional piece designed to maximise space without compromising on style. Inspired by the perfect balance of form and function, it features a combination of responsibly sourced timber with a striking grain and vibrant coloured acrylic. The juxtaposition of these materials creates a sophisticated and versatile piece that effortlessly accommodates books and decorative items.

RAIDEN is a customizable record rack made from recycled materials. It features a minimalist design and can be easily disassembled for storage or transportation. The holding capacity can be adjusted by changing the rod length, and the overall height can be customised. The rack is made from a variety of recycled materials, including spotted gum timber, aluminium sheets, carbon fibre tubes, and HDPE plastic.

Duncan Young & Noah Hartley | GT2 Table

A beautiful fusion of glass and wood, this new table collection is the result of a collaboration between Duncan Young and Noah Hartley. The Adelaide-based artists, both alumni of the Jam Factory, have skillfully combined their expertise to create pieces that highlight the unique qualities of each material.

Timothy Robertson | Kinoko Lamp

Kinoko, meaning mushroom is a table lamp inspired by the playful characters of fungi. The series draws on the aesthetic of simplicity; by creating an everyday object that draws on design values existing in the natural world.

Kinoko features a two piece marble shade with a bronze diffuser that dissipates the light, allowing a warming yet gentle glow through the material above and below, reinforcing its purpose of creating an inviting atmosphere.

The vallam series refers to the traditional kettu vallams of Kerala, an ongoing series that explores ways of crafting furniture and objects by stitching timber panels together with natural yarn and cords.

Annie Gastin | Out a Space

Annie’s work has a minimalist style with Scandi and Japanese influences, following clean, predominantly geometric lines. Her intention is that the pieces that she produces are both functional and beautiful. Using an organic style of glazing on the internal areas of the pieces and leaving vast sections of the work unglazed, her work celebrates the intrinsic beauty of the clay.
