The “Tenon” series by Rick Verloop

Rick sold his successful I.T company in order to pursue other opportunities in life. Having always had a love of timber, Rick enrolled in a full time Furniture Design course in order to indulge that passion. After graduating, Rick wants to establish a bespoke furniture design and manufacturing company, making limited edition pieces.

The “Tenon” series armchair and side table are designed to use minimal components. The armchair appears to float on pins without any other form of support and the side table complements the curves of the chair with a subtly scalloped top and tapered legs. The contrasting timber of the wedged mortise and tenon joints are beautifully detailed.
