Bolaji Teniola is an emerging interdisciplinary furniture and industrial designer. Bolaji also draws on his experience working for furniture design studios in the Netherlands and Indonesia. Currently, his practice traverses various mediums, exploring materials and processes in search of pragmatic solutions that place equal importance on functionality and aesthetic appeal.

‘Timber Shaving Vessels’ are an exercise in upcycling in producing objects that change the perceived value of timber offcuts. Inspired by the manufacturing techniques of the Akari lamps and the papier-mâché process, timber shavings are transformed into vessels using a homemade organic adhesive and found objects acting as moulds.
