Melanie has worked in the kitchen & bathroom industry for the past 24 years and is currently editor of the popular industry blog The Kitchen & Bathroom Blog which is an online resource for the kitchen and bathroom industry. Launched in 2013, the blog provides updates for the industry on new products, design trends, showroom openings, industry awards and other items of relevance for anyone in the kitchen and bathroom, interior design, building or architecture industries. Melanie regularly attends kitchen and bathroom shows both in Australia and overseas and often undertakes public speaking engagements with both consumer and industry audiences to report on the latest designs, ideas and innovations. She has also spoken at specific industry events about marketing and PR within this highly-specialised sector. Together with Simon Hodgson, she also plans tours for Australian designers to significant overseas trade shows including Salone del Mobile.Milano, Interzum and ISH, through their business Australian International Design Tours. She also works as a freelance consultant to the industry, providing editorial, copywriting, and marketing, including work for various industry associations. Melanie was previously the Managing Editor of the highly successful Kitchens & Bathrooms Group of titles published by Universal Magazines until 2010.
