Meet the Brand: Rachel Pedrana

As the countdown to Design Show Australia 2026 begins, we’re spotlighting exhibitor Rachel Pedrana. Rachel Pedrana Studio priorities a collaborative, “Art that Matters” philosophy by partnering with interior designers to integrate sustainable, site-specific artworks directly into the design process of residential and commercial spaces. Read on to discover their current design trends, and what you can expect to find at their stand.

Can you give us a brief introduction to your brand?

Rachel Pedrana Studio collaborates with interior designers to create site-specific artworks for residential and commercial interiors. Art + Design + Collaborative Partnership underpins the studio’s approach, integrating artwork into the design process as part of the project rather than a final addition. At its core is a philosophy of Art that Matters, where material origin, sustainability, and craft are embedded within each work.

What differentiates your brand from other competitors in the market?

The studio works as a collaborative partner to interior designers, not a source of pre-existing artworks. Each work is developed specifically for the project, responding directly to spatial intent and material context. This positions artwork as part of the design process, not separate from it.

Are there any exciting trends that you are seeing in the world of design this year?

There is a shift towards material-led interiors, where sustainability and material origin are considered earlier in the design process. There is also a stronger focus on integration, with artwork, finishes, and spatial elements developed together rather than added at the end.

What can our visitors expect to see and experience on your stand at Design Show Australia?

The stand introduces the Art Design Studio, a tactile extension of the studio process for interior designers. Visitors can engage with material samples, textile fibres, and compositional elements used in the development of artworks. A limited number of Art Design Studio invitations will be available for current or upcoming projects.

What are you looking forward to the most at Design Show Australia 2026?

Connecting with interior designers who are looking to integrate artwork more intentionally within their projects. The show provides a platform for conversations around materiality, sustainability, and collaboration within the design process.
