  1. Competition Overview

This promotion offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to win a sit-down lunch with renowned designer Hicham Lahlou — one of the most prominent figures in contemporary Arab design, celebrated for over 30 years of pioneering work across industrial design, urban planning, and cultural diplomacy.

Each winner will attend the lunch with one guest, along with other winners and their guests.

  1. Eligibility

Entry is open to individuals who:

– Hold a valid ticket to attend Design Show Australia, ArchiBuild Expo, or Kitchen+Bath Show at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 12–14 June 2025.

– Are aged 18 years or older.

Exclusions:

– Employees of National Media Pty Ltd and their immediate families.

– Individuals without a valid event ticket.

  1. How to Enter

To enter, participants must:

  1. Hold a valid Professional ticket to one of the eligible events.
  2. Upload proof of ticket via the official entry form at https://www.designshow.com.au.
  3. Submit a response in 25 words or less explaining why they would like to meet Hicham Lahlou.

Limit: One (1) entry per valid ticket.

There is no entry fee.

  1. Prize Details

– Prize: A VIP lunch with Hicham Lahlou for the winner and one guest, together with other winners and their guests.

– Number of Winners: 2 winners (4 people in total including guests).

– Total Prize Value: AUD $200.

– Prize Conditions: The prize is non-transferable and not redeemable for cash or exchange.

  1. Winner Selection

This is a game of skill. Entries will be judged based on creativity, originality, and relevance of the response to the prompt:

“In 25 words or less, tell us why you would like to meet Hicham Lahlou.”

Judging will be conducted by a panel appointed by National Media Pty Ltd.

All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

– Judging Date: 11 June 2025

– Notification: Winners will be notified via phone and email using the contact details provided during entry.

  1. Prize Redemption

Winners must report to the designated lunch area at the scheduled lunch time, which will be advised in advance.

Event badge must be presented for entry.

 

Failure to attend or present valid identification may result in forfeiture of the prize.

  1. Use of Entries

By entering, participants consent to National Media Pty Ltd using their name, submitted entry, and event photographs in promotional and marketing material without further compensation.

National Media Pty Ltd will collect your name, email address, company, and phone number for the purpose of administering this competition and contacting winners.
