Design Manager / APS Design
Diane Fernandes

With over 20 years of experience as an interior designer, designing commercial, medical, retail, hospitality, and high-end residential projects, and close to 10 years as an educator at Sydney Design School, Diane has some inspirational projects in her portfolio and a lot of wisdom to impart working on client projects and mentoring the next great Australian designers. Diane is crazy passionate about designs that express unique creativity, solve a problem, and help save the planet. That’s why she absolutely loves teaching. As an educator and mentor, she gets to witness designers find their voice and confidence as they emerge into the design world and make an impact. Her approach to design is centered around human behavior and takes into consideration how people and businesses operate in the 21st century. The world of design has had to drastically change to incorporate our ever-changing world and millennial thinking. Diane has combined her experience and knowledge as a designer and her passion for education to support emerging designers find their true passion and launch their careers. As a coach, her aim is to connect designers to the industry and also with business tools and resources to set up and grow their own businesses.
