Gabriel Solorzano Torres is the Executive Director of Commercial, Sustainability and Infrastructure at Melbourne Polytechnic and the executive lead for the national Centre of Excellence in the Future of Housing Construction.
He leads a major executive portfolio spanning infrastructure, digital and technology experience, sustainability, commercial operations, strategic growth, product portfolio and major transformation initiatives. His work focuses on how institutions, industry and government build the systems capability required to support economic transformation, industrial transition and long-term national productivity.
Gabriel has played a leading role in positioning Melbourne Polytechnic as a national participant in the transformation of housing delivery, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) and industrialised construction. His work focuses on connecting industry capability, implementation pathways and workforce development in real time, positioning education as part of the operational capability ecosystem rather than a downstream training function.
He regularly contributes to national discussions on systems transformation, institutional strategy, infrastructure capability, housing delivery and the evolving relationship between industry, education and government.
