Hans J. Galutera, Doc of Des., is an internationally recognized licensed interior designer, educator,
and founder of HG Design Works LLC and DesignHUG, with more than 25 years of global experience
across hospitality, maritime, residential, and institutional environments. Formerly a co-founder of BG
Studio International, he led new-construction interiors for some of the world’s most advanced cruise
ships and large-scale hospitality projects across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Through
HG Design Works LLC, Hans advises developers and design teams on complex environments that must
perform socially, operationally, and emotionally over time. His work bridges global practice with
human-centered design, focusing on longevity, inclusion, and cultural continuity. He is an Adjunct
Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology SUNY and serves in international leadership roles,
including Ambassador of Education for the Society of British & International Design.
