Ilze is a passionate lighting designer at Arup, dedicated to creating thoughtful, high-quality lighting solutions that enhance spaces and support the people who use them. With a wealth of local and international experience, she has worked on hospitality projects, urban masterplans, historic sites, and luxury hotel brands. Her local work has focused on commercial fitouts, multipurpose developments, and improving nighttime safety perceptions in urban areas. Beyond her design work, Ilze is an advocate for women in the industry, proudly serving as an ambassador for Women in Lighting. She’s especially interested in how lighting influences human well-being, striving to create nighttime environments that feel balanced, safe, and inviting.
