Linette Salbashian is the Founder and Director of SALBASHIAN Architects, a Sydney-based architecture and interiors practice specialising in apartment living, high-density housing and complex Class 2 projects. A registered architect and Design Practitioner in NSW, Linette brings over 15 years of experience across multi-residential design, approvals and delivery.
Her cross-disciplinary practice integrates architecture, interiors, planning strategy and early builder collaboration to create commercially viable projects that are also highly liveable and design-led. Working closely with downsizers, owner-occupiers and developers, she is known for unlocking value within existing apartment buildings through strategic renovations, apartment amalgamations and adaptive reconfiguration projects.
Linette has developed a strong reputation for navigating the complexities of high-density housing approvals, particularly within strata and heritage contexts, balancing planning controls, construction feasibility, commercial realities and design quality. Her work increasingly explores how Sydney’s existing housing stock can evolve more sustainably through intelligent densification, including airspace opportunities and building-on-top-of-existing-apartment-block strategies.
Alongside practice, Linette tutors at the University of Sydney and contributes to industry discussions around housing, apartment design and the future of urban living. Her perspective combines technical expertise with a strong focus on how people actually live in dense urban environments.
