Leading the design direction at underwood, Qutaibah is an architect and writer. His passion lies in working with and alongside values aligned clients, trades and fellow industry professionals interested in making site responsive, low environmental impact architecture with a sense of place.

Having practiced both locally and briefly in Japan, Qutaibah has worked as part of a handful of industry leading and award-winning offices across residential, multi residential and commercial project types. His appetite to absorb new ideas has seen him attain a qualification as a NatHERS residential building energy consultant and in 2020 Qutaibah won a scholarship to undertake further professional studies to become a certified Passive House designer.

Qutaibah is a published architectural writer and he has taught design studio and sat on review panels at both Deakin University and Melbourne University.
