Born and raised in Sydney, I have graduated with a degree in Industrial Design focusing my passions towards furniture. Trying to create a new form of furniture, combining my concrete workmanship with a minimalism aesthetic.
Waverley Table
The Waverley was built using an MDF skeleton, utilising CNC processing to cut out the perfect symmetrical table top as well as bending plywood to create a perfect cylinder for the legs. The table is then hand coated in multiple layers of concrete, giving it a hefty natural feel.
The inspiration for this table came to me as I was designing a consultation desk for a client. I wanted to build a table in which both users were brought closer together in the centre, to bring about a closer connection of intimacy between the two. I also wanted this table to feel extremely modern yet industrial which is why I chose an off-white smooth concrete finish paired with brass cable managers. The combination of this shape, finish and materials was my greatest inspiration to create something timeless and elegant to suit any environment.
