Embracing Nature's Palette: Aotearoa New Zealand's Sustainable Materials for Design (Presented by NZTE)
Friday 14 June
11:30 am - 12:10 pm
Design Talks

NZ’s innovative use of natural materials like wool, harakeke, and pine is not only setting a high bar for eco-friendly living but also showcases the importance of kaitiakitanga (guardianship of the land), and traceability; testament to the ability to harmonise modern living with environmental ethics. By prioritising materials that are renewable and traceable, Aotearoa New Zealand is demonstrating how design can be both aesthetically pleasing and responsible, whilst respecting the whenua (land).
